Mr Flores can provide and advise Guard members and their families in understanding and obtaining benefits and services through the V.A, V.S.O and the Military Health Care System. (Tri-West/Tri-Care)The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a statewide point of contact and coordinator and to provide assistance and referrals in resolving issues with V.A. Healthcare, V.A. Benefits and Tri-Care. The position coordinates with the Air Guard, Army Guard and the Family Programs office in the State of Hawaii and also ensures education and awareness of outreach programs and benefits that are available to the Guard members and families in the State of Hawaii .Mr. Flores can provide briefings and contacts in several areas regarding benefits and health care:

Soldier and Family Re-Integration (OIF-OEF), Tri-Care Medical Benefits, Education Benefits, Veterans Benefits, ESGR, Funeral Honors, Family Programs Assistance.

Mr Flores is a Viet Nam Vet (Combat Medic) with over 40 yrs of active and Hawaii Army Guard service. He is retired Hawaii Army Guard and his last assignment with the guard was with Recruiting and Retention as a Recruiter, MEPS Guidance Counselor and Marketing Director.

Accordingly, there are many sites that explain how to obtain books, military/medical records, information and how to appeal a denied claim with the VA. Please pass this information on to every Veteran you know. Nearly 100% of this information is free and available for all veterans, the only catch is : you have to ask for it, because they won't tell you about a specific benefit unless you ask for it. You need to know what questions to ask for the right doors to open for you---and then be ready to have an advocate who is willing to work with and for you, stay in the process, and press for your rights and your best interests.
