HNGEA President

1. Direct the affairs of the HNGEA in accordance with the Bylaws and the policies adopted by the Annual General Membership or Special General Membership Meetings of the association.

2. Appoint all committees and designate the chairman and committee members thereof, except for the Committee on Nominations, subject to the confirmation of the HNGEA Council.

3. Issue the call for an Annual General Membership Meeting or Special General Membership Meeting of the association, and the call for the HNGEA Council Meetings.

4. Direct the operations of the office(s) of the association with the approval of the HNGEA Council.

5. Be authorized to incur such incidental expenses as may be necessary for the operation of the association, within limits established by the council.

6. Render an annual report to the general membership at the annual meeting.

7. Be a member ex-officio of all committees, with the exception of the Committee on Nominations.

8. Perform such other duties applicable to the office of president as prescribed by the adopted parliamentary authority.

9. Assume the position of Vice-President of the National Guard Association of Hawaii (NGA-HI) Insurance Inc. his/her first year as HNGEA President and President of the NGA-HI Insurance Inc. his/her second year as HNGEA President.

 

HNGEA Vice-President (Army / Air)

1. Represent the Hawaii Army / Air National Guard enlisted members and issues, be their membership coordinator, and advise the President.

2. Assist the President in the performance of other commensurate duties as directed.

3. Render an annual report to the general membership at the annual meeting.

4. Perform such other duties applicable to the office of Vice-President as prescribed by the adopted parliamentary authority.

5. Assume the position of Co-Chairmen of the Committee on Membership.

6. One of the Vice-Presidents will assume the position of Secretary of the NGA-HI Insurance Inc. their first year and Treasurer of the NGA-HI Insurance Inc. their second year.

 

HNGEA Secretary

1. Be the recording officer of the association.

2. Be responsible for the collection and maintenance of the current and historical records for the HNGEA.

3. Render an annual report to the general membership at the annual meeting.

4. Perform such other duties applicable to the office of Secretary as prescribed by the adopted parliamentary authority.

 

HNGEA Treasurer

1. Receive, receipt for, and be custodian of all funds due to the association, and deposit the funds in the name of the HNGEA in depositories as designated with the consent of the Council.

2. Make such disbursements as directed by the Council, and receive proper vouchers and receipts.

3. Prepare all checks and/or drafts, and with the approval of the Council, buy, sell and/or exchange property as may be necessary in the conduct of association business.

4. Maintain the financial records of the association, which shall be available for review by the Council.

5. File all required Federal and State tax and other such documents on a timely basis.

6. Render a complete financial accounting report to the general membership at the annual meeting.

7. Perform such other duties applicable to the office of Treasurer as prescribed by the adopted parliamentary authority.

HNGEA Sergeant-at-Arms

1. Is an appointed position by the President.

2. On the floor of the meeting, assists in preserving order as the chair may direct.

3. He is responsible for seeing that the furnishings are in proper order for each meeting.

 

HNGEA Immediate Past President

1. Be a member of the HNGEA Council.

2. Provide administrative continuity and advice to the HNGEA Council.

3. Render an annual report to the general membership at the annual meeting.

4. Unless elected to under appropriate bylaw provisions, may not succeed to any other office by reason of absence, incapacity, resignation, death or removal from office.
